Synopsis
The Hitman’s Bodyguard is a 2017 action-comedy film set in Europe, following the adventures of a disgraced elite private bodyguard Michael Bryce. Notorious hitman Darius Kincaid agreed to testify at the trial of crooked Belarus dictator Vladislav Dhukovich, only for the security convoy escorting him to the courts to be attacked. Bryce is called in at the last minute in order to ensure Dhukovich’s safe transport from the UK to the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands. What follows is a gripping, action-packed comedy as the two, bodyguard and hitman, find out about an unexpected connection in their past and attempt to work through their differences as they try to reach their destination in one piece. A box office success, a sequel for the film titled Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard has been announced for 2021.
